Justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion: Making progress and measuring results

May 17, 2021 | Pieta Blakely

What does justice look like in your organization and in your work? How do you advance equity in your non-profit? What does success look like?

This week, Dr Kimberly Truong joined us to talk about the work of advancing equity in a non-profit. Dr Truong is the Executive Director of the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Office at the MGH Institute of Health Professions and also Founder and Principal at XEM Consulting Services, LLC, where she supports individuals and organizations to engage in transformational institutional change.

She showed us how her organization has gone from lagging to leading in embedding justice and equity in their organization. Watch as she shows us:

  • Concrete steps for implementing a JEDI plan
  • Why JEDI is not an HR function, and
  • How to know you're making progress
