Coffee Time

Unconventional communication with Chris Lysy

October 08, 2020 | Pieta Blakely

The last few years have seen more and more elaborate forms of visual communication. But more complex is not always better. Last week on Coffee Time, Chris Lysy joined us to talk about keeping the human element in our communications. Chris is a freelance designer and evaluator who supports all sorts of digital projects and programs. He is also a cartoonist.

We talked about:

  • Whether we should hand draw our charts
  • Keeping typos in our writing
  • And how drawings can support valuable conversations

And he drew some cartoons just for us!

You can find Chris's new book on Amazon.
